Food stops when out and about in Saigon:
- Bún mắm at Ngon Asia House in the brand new Saigon Garden. Great space with a lot of lush greenery, but the food court format is illogical and a hassle.
- Organic spinach bacon salad and Japanese hamburg steak at Gyumaru. There was much hype, but I was underwhelmed. Just book a table at Pizza 4P’s next door.
- Thankfully Tuk Tuk never disappoints: Thai seafood fried rice, stir-fried vermicelli with shrimp and tamarind sauce, black sticky rice with coconut milk and egg custard that didn’t look like much but tasted phenomenal. Still my favourite Thai lunch option in the city.
